On April 25, 2008, an  Economic Development Summit was held to discuss new opportunities for workforce and economic development in Atlantic and Cape May counties. More specifically how to provide continuous support of and advance existing industry such as gaming, healthcare, hospitality and tourism and retail while attracting new industry and subsequent sub-industries to the area. 

This website now posts the results of that summit and will be updated frequently to provide you with industry-specific progress reports as implemented by the Committees of the Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board (WIB). Those industry areas include: Hospitality and Tourism, Healthcare, New Initiatives (Emerging), Retail and Technology.

Thank you for attending the summit and for your invaluable contributions to the workforce and economic development system in Atlantic and Cape May counties. Your recommendations have become the springboard and provided a direction for future planning.
